WHAT WE WILL DO
UNITS
QTR 1 Print reading and woodworking machines
Projects - Folder, protractor, compass, jewelry box and tray.
QTR 2 Design process, Sketching Orthographic drawings, Intro to 3D CAD drawing and 3D printing.
Projects – Dragster, Continuity Tester box.
QTR 3 Cabinetmaking, Electricity/Electronics
Projects – Mantle clock, four house wiring circuits, printed circuit board fabrication.
QTR 4 Metals Technology and Machines.
Projects- Lamp, screwdriver, sliding t-bevel, CAM, arc welding, center punch, tool holder

- Explore working with different materials and equipment.
- Experience a variety of materials processing techniques.
- Develop a sense that hard work can result in quality craftsmanship, pride, and satisfaction.
- Understand and use the design process in order to turn ideas into reality.
- Zero tolerance for unsafe behavior.
- Quality workmanship
- Come prepared to work every day.
- Be to class on time.
- Respect others and the property of the school.
- Do your best.
- 60% on projects and class participation.
- 40% on homework, daily notes, worksheets, and other written assignments.
- Students must pass a safety test on each machine they use.
- Students are encouraged to do enrichment activities as time allows.
